Cave tubing with Wet & Wild

I just came back from cave tubing in Belize with Wet & Wild and HIGHLY recommend this tour group. Despite the craziness of Carnival's tender policy, we were met by the director, Marvin, as soon as we got off the ship. Since he knew what ship we were on, he was ready for us. He had asked in the confirmation email for us to get on the first tender we could. We were on the first tender for "non Carnival" excursions and by 9:15 were on our way in an airconditioned 12 passanger van to the excursion site. For the ride there, our wonderful guide gave us a tour of the city, a history lesson, economics overview and answered all of our questions about the beautiful country and the caves we were going to see. He was fun, knowledgeable, helpful and a joy to be around.

At the caves, he escorted us in, helped those who had trouble in the caves, and laughed and joked with the kids and adults. By the end of the tour, he knew everyone's name.

He then took us to a delightful place for lunch where everyone had a great lunch.

We all agreed it was a highlight to our trip.

Hi Cindydea!

Thanks for the review of Wet-N-Wild. We are leaving this Sunday with CC Valor Voyagers and have a van reserved with Marvin just for us! A few questions for you.

How was the water level? Is it up any? It sounds like in May there were many sections with "butts up." Also, any hints on how to get off the ship quickly? It sounds like even with early tender tickets it's taken some group several hours to get off.

We are on the Explorer 6/19 sailing and booked Wet N Wild. How lond did it take from pick up to return to the dock? Was there time to do anything else in Belize? Also interested to know how the water level was. Thanks.

Your review is helpful...we'd been leaning toward Wet and Wild, but hadn't heard anything about them recently.

Is there one guide per group? An English-speaking Belize native, I guess?

Did you eat lunch? How was it? (was it included?)

Hola amigos,

We did the Wet & Wild trip back in January. Yes, it is a blast!! The trip included a meal at Amigos, a quaint little cafe in the middle of nowhere. The red beans, chicken and rice was very good and be sure to try the homegrown habanero sauce, and the locally made Pelican Beer. Oh, by the way, don't put much habenero sauce on the food. It is hotter than @#*+. Tasty but warm. If the snorkeling wasn't any good I would have to go cave tubing again, but alas, Belize has some of the best snorkeling that I have seen yet. I'll let you know about the Caymans in January.:D
