airdale Posted February 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2013 Am sailing on the Elation in a couple of weeks and have a few questions. You will enjoy your cruse. Go with the flow, relax and no matter what...tell yourself that being on this cruise is better than being at work! Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and soft serve ice cream available? YES, YES AND YES Excursions booked in the terminal carry a discount? I will leave this question to someone else as we have never done it. Wine by the glass in dinning room? Cost? Another question for someone else in the know. Poker tournment? Loose slots ? They have them, but I have never myself enter an on board tournment. Loose slots? NO...I would say they are tighter than in most U.S. shore casinos. I wasn't a lot of help, but I was able to answer 4 out of 8 questions. I will leave the hard ones to others. :o
JeanieTheMom Posted February 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2013 Am sailing on the Elation in a couple of weeks and have a few questions. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and soft serve ice cream available? Excursions booked in the terminal carry a discount? Wine by the glass in dinning room? Cost? Poker tournment? Loose slots? Excursions -- I haven't heard of buying excursions in the terminal, but if you mean buying them on board, I haven't heard of them being priced differently than on-line before you go. Wine -- The cheapest red or white "house" wine in the dining room is around $5.75 per glass, and it goes up from there. On my last cruise, I found some I liked for about $6.25 and stuck with that the rest of the cruise. Also, if you buy a bottle in the dining room, they will keep the rest of it for you for the next night. I can't address the casino question, but someone will come along who can. Enjoy! arpie05 Posted February 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2013 We loved the Elation. If you are driving or spending the night before - bring a bottle onboard with you. The grill with burgers and hotdogs is by the pool until 4pm and then again several nights around 11 pm (I think) There are several ice cream machines. usually chocolate/vanilla one day. Chocolate/strawberry the next. Drink prices are consistant across the fleet.
