majesty prom deck cabins ??????????

Recommended Posts

We have changed our cruise to mid summer instead of Oct as my husband was worrying about the temp and its worked out better for him for work etc too, while we are paying an amemdment fee we changed it completly and now going on Majesty to Agean as we had thought of that anyway for next year.

Has anyone stayed on deck 7 of majesty (prom deck) if so any comments on the cabins and any to avoid?

Have seen the ones from centre to back may be noisy as over casino and bars any thoughts on which is best ???

You've changed itinerary. :)

Good decision. ;) Nice trip to Santorini and Crete.

Do you definitely want deck 7? I had a wander round on Friday and the cabins on 7 seemed the same size as ours on deck 4. Ours (426) was very quiet and near the lift. I had a walk round the promenade deck and you can't see in to the cabins in the day, but I should think it is a good idea to pull your curtains at night.:D

We want to do the Aegean, but I am waiting to see what is happening with the Majesty. I mean, they won't suddenly swap it again will they, if there are problems?

Hi everyone, crikey no i hope they dont swap ships, i know if they do will be as they have no choice and really so upsetting whats happened. Just hope things are ok for them to keep using it, if not they will have to borrow good old destiny back unless its been sold , has it Sailaway? I get mixed up !

Really fancy this itinerary too :D:D

Picked prom deck as hubby is a smaker, when we are lower down and he keeps nipping up on deck for a smaoke i get a bit fed up so he thought be nice if we tried the prom, cost us £140 total more so if its not worth it wont do it again.

Mind you , good old Thomsons have let me carry over the choose your cabin fee, only thing was had to decide there and then  so hope ive picked well, weve got 726 ( there is a 726b too but thats a smaller one) weve gone for a plus one (thanks Berwyn for advice) :)

I hope they can sort out the Majesty, as we really liked it

I guess you had a smoker with you :D

This is an outside plus, on deck 7 (I think)

Yes it's annoying Linda but I let him off cause I quite like him ;)

Shame, his smoking costs a fortune with buying cigarettes then the cabin! !

Did you ask in advance for bed as a double, I know on p&o you ask before, in the past with thoms has already been a double

Dreamgirl, it would make sense to book a cabin on the smoking side and near the exits then he will be away for less time (or you can wave to him from the window :)).

Are wish I'd known that , we've got 726 do you know which is smoking side :):)

I did ask for twin beds, as it was a 4 berth and when we had upper beds on the Spirit DH kept banging his shoulder when he got out of bed, but when we got there, Mary, our cabin steward said the last people had a double bed and would we like to keep it, but as it happened the cabin was wider and so no problem. She would have changed it if we wanted:)

Thomas Bay! Stayed there last September and going again this Sept. There is a Facebook page for it. Lots of returning guests. Any questions ...just ask and I will try my best. I know San Stefanos quite well as have stayed there many times over the years. San Stefanos also has a web page run by an English girl which is interesting to read. Can get you details if you want.

Ah thanks Jackie, mind you i may be staying off f\b for a while !!

We booked it as i knew youd said you liked it there and in the past ive booked repeat customers there so thought must be ok.

Been to Corfu several times but never to San Stephanos and really fancy it so well happy.

Weve satyed in Kassiopi before and love that and i think will be quite similar. Will more than likely be asking you for a few tips before we go !!!:cool:

I am not good on the ship's terms :o

But if you are facing towards the front of the ship, it is on the left side.
