Viking Danube Waltz vs Romantic Danube

We are looking at both of these cruises during Christmas week. The itineraries are similar (Budapest, Melk, Vienna, Passau), except the Romantic does Nuremburg and Regensburg, plus the locks. The Waltz does Salzburg and Bratislava.

 

If we do the Waltz, we'll be in Vienna on Christmas Eve, Melk on Christmas day and Salzburg on the 26th. If we do the Romantic, we have several options, but would probably be in Regensburg Christmas Eve morning and Nuremburg on Christmas day.

 

Has anyone been to all four of those cities - or at least any of those cities on those holidays - that can help us decide?

Whoops! For the Romantic itinerary, I was looking at 2014 dates. We would be in Passau on Christmas Eve and both Melk and Vienna on Christmas Day (and also Vienna on the 26th), or on the reverse route, we'd be in Melk on Christmas Eve and Passau on Christmas Day.
