Kissing Seahorses Posted February 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2013 Anyone else notice a blurb in USA Today saying the state department has issued a warning that US citizens may be targeted for kidnapping in the tourist areas of M. Pichu and Cusco at least through the month of February. See the State department website for more details.

Kissing Seahorses Posted February 16, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Coolcruise - thanks so much for posting these links. I was going to look for them myself but was running late. This really took me by surprise as I have never had a moment that I have felt threatened in Peru.
ssawjo Posted February 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Thank you for posting these alerts. My DW and I are traveling to Cusco and MP on 2/28 precruise. Personally, over the years, we have not allowed ourselves to be detered from traveling by alerts that may or may not be accurate. However, we always exercise vigilance wherever we are.
