Florence/Chianti tours

Hi - No, to your question, BUT try Maurizio with Tuscany Taste Tours. We did last December and he was WONDERFUL!! He took us (group of 6) on a wine tasting tour of Tuscany and we had the best time. We went to two "boutique" wineries and had a private tour and tasting. It was awesome.

He was there when we got off from the ship and his van was big and comfortable, he spoke great English, and met our every need for the day long tour. He also took us to a village and recommended and very nice restaurant for lunch, which was very tasty.

I believe he would also take you to Florence if you want to go there. I don't think he only does the Tuscany region. He'll take you where ever you want to go.

Here is his website: http://www.tuscanytastetour.com

Enjoy!

We hired last December another company: http://www.italycruisesprivatetours.com From Livorno port we went to Florence and then visited the Chianti wine area.

We had a great experience with Ricardo, our driver guide who showed us the highlights of Florence and then drove us to San Donato in Pogio where he suggested a great place for our wine testing and lunch, called "Casa Emma" (we still have some bottles of good Chianti wine at home). We had a fantastic lunch in a room overlooking the vinyards. We highly recommend you this company for the professional service provided and good rates!

Has anyone used Tuscan Sunshine Tours?

No, we did not use them. We rented a car and drove on our own. We went to Florence first, from Livorno port and then drove to the beginning of Chianti for lunch in a local farm house. It was a little hard to drive through Florence but finally we made it! (Lots of fun!)

Never heard! Try http://www.guidedtoursofflorence.com/ we did a Chianti tour with them and a guided tour of Florence with the Uffizi museum, they were very helpful and prepared. The Chianti tour was absolutely what we have expected: beautiful hills with rows and rows of vineyards, a warm sunny day, a lovely drive and hundreds of wineries everywhere!

Florence was amazing! The tour was far from being boring thanks to our guide and it's been my favorite city in Italy so far!!!

Yes we just got back from a Mediterranean cruise and Franco from Tuscan Sunshine Tours was our private tour guide from Livorno to Pisa, Florence and Chianti region. HIGHLY recommended. Prompt pickup, informative, and flexible. We had also booked several of the "cattle call" trips though the cruise line and this was by far the best experience of the trip. Make sure to do the Montefioralli wine tasting if possible.
