Can you use a Verizon Jetpack on ship?

Hope some of you Techies on CC can help me! Has anyone used a Verizon Jetpack wireless access device for data service on a ship? There is a "cruise ship data package", but doesn't indicate if there is a charge from the ship... Any information would be helpful! Thanks! :)

We're going to be on Island Princess doing a full transit.

yes there is a charge for access from any and all devices. you must set up an account first before accessing the interweb, price varies by what package you get, with only a few ships having rolled out the unlimited one as yet.

this will be over and above any charges your provider assesses.

Thanks for the quick response! I figured that would be the case.
