mbmcwill Posted June 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2005 We will be in Key West most of a day. We have 7 boys age ranging from 13 to 21. What exciting, not to be missed adventure can we go on? They are not into museums and long tours. Help we leave last week in June!

southernmost Posted June 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2005 Here are some great ideas for your group: Party Boat Fishing - for about 40 dollars each, they could all go out on a party boat and fish for a few hours. It is likely they will catch dinner, and you could have a fun place like the Half Shell cook it for everyone. Dry Tortugas - if you have the money, and the time, there is no greater adventure than heading out to the Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson for the day. The boat ride is two hours each way, leaving you 4.5 hours to snorkel, and explore the fort. It is amazing. The cost is over $100 per head, but includes all the gear and breakfast and lunch. Snorkel the reef - Key West is home to the world's 3rd largest reef. The group could head out on a snorkel boat for a 3 hour trip. Cost is around $35 per person. By the way, there are no "gay nude beaches" in Key West.
bhopal21 Posted June 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2005 Southernmost is correct, there is no "gay nude beach" in Key West. They might enjoy http://www.jungletour.com/HTML/jungle_mainframe.htm or renting Jet Skis, both are loads of fun. Enjoy Mike
mbmcwill Posted June 9, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted June 9, 2005 Thank you for all the suggestions. We are considering the Jungle Tours or the Scavenger Hunt. Are either of these a must do?
southernmost Posted June 9, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2005 or renting Jet Skis, Not sure if this is a policy at all jet ski rentals, but I know some that will not allow anyone under the age of 18 to drive a ski. As a matter of fact, the jet-ski closest to the cruise ship at the Hilton, Island Watersports, doesn't allow minors to drive a ski. They can ride with an adult though. PhinsAndGills Posted June 17, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 17, 2005 If you're on one of the cruises that's there until midnight... http://www.hauntedtours.com/TourInfo_Reservations.html It IS a tour, but unlike any other - it's a tour of all of the haunted places in Key West. When we did it, it was mostly 18 - 35 year olds and we had a BLAST!
shmthaus Posted July 2, 2005 #8 Share Posted July 2, 2005 I would be interested to know if you do the hunt and if you enjoyed it. We are going to Key West in Nov. and are thinking about doing the hunt. I have to ask.... are those 7 boys all yours?
