snorkeling on St. Croix with RCCL

I have booked a snorkeling tour to Buck Island on Splendour of the Seas and was wondering if this one stops close to the beach so my husband could get on the beach and not just sit on the boat while I snorkel. Has anyone done this tour? He doesn't want to be the only one on the boat not snorkeling. Thanks!
