Favorite place to eat in Falmouth?

We hope to have some time after our early excursion to walk around near the port before going back onboard. Anyone have any recommendations for a good place to grab a bite to eat some authentic Jamaican food ?

We stopped at Club Nazz for breakfast, and had some very good Ackee and Saltfish (the national disk of Jamaica) and fried breadfruit. Both were very good. Club Nazz also has free WiFi.

 

We stopped later at Pepper's Jerk Center for jerk chicken. While the jerk was very good, they just build an outdoor pool hall right next to the restaurant and the music from there was painfully earsplittingly loud. We passed a whole bunch of great smelling jerk stands on our way to the beach just east of town but didn't stop.

Peppers and Club Nazz are both about 1000ft from the exit to the pier area (an easy walk if you exclude all the people hassling you to buy stuff or take their cab). Go straight out of the port on Falmouth Street through the gauntlet of vendors, turn right on Harbour Ln towards Water Square, turn left at Water Square and follow Duke Street around the corner, and you will see Club Nazz at the corner of Market and Duke. Keep walking on Duke Street a couple of blocks to get to Peppers. Just keep in mind that it's also a 1/4 mile walk from the ship to the pier exit.

In the pier area there is a place in an open air booth that just sells Jamaican patties. The patties are a pastry stuffed with spicy meat. They also had hot sauces to pour on and make them super spicy. Having lived in Jamaica these patties brought back good memories.

Great pics!!!! Were there a lot of people the ship walk to this place. I would be too nervous to make the walk if not too many people are going.

There were a decent number, but most people stay inside the gates. There are also a bunch of official uniformed tourism ambassadors at the gates who will escort you through the crowds in exchange for a tip.
