Pinel Island on our Own?

Hi!

We will be going to St Martin on Allure Of The Seas.

We have a groups of about 25 and wanted just to spend the day in Pinel.

 

If anyone can suggest an easier way to get everyone there other than taking 5 taxis?

I know the ferry starts at 10 am and comes and goes every 20-30 minutes.

Will there be taxis available when is time to go?

Why don't you email the taxi company and see if you can pre-arrange rides. I would only take a taxi if I could pay for the whole trip at pick up. Being stuck at the Cul de Sac would be very bad as it is quite far from the port.

 

You could rent cars and leave them in the parking lot at the Cul de Sac which would probably be my first choice.

In my experience, and from what I've read of others comments, the ferry dock for Pinel is not somewhere that taxis loiter waiting for passengers. We took a cab there and the driver said he'd be back at X hour to pick us up but he was a no show. There were no other cabs to be found and no way to call for one. Finally another group's taxi showed up and we squeezed in with them.

With a big group like that maybe you should arrange for a small bus or something?
