Hampton inn blue lagoon/miami

We are coming to Miami for 3 days before we cruise and will be staying at a hotel and renting a car. I got quoted a price of $497 for two at the Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon and wondered if anyone has stayed there? Thanks.

Very popular hotel on these boards - we stayed at the Homewood Suites which is just around the corner. Nice area with a shopping center directly across the street from your hotel with grocery, drug, and liquor stores plus several dining options.

 

You can take the hotel's free shuttle to the MIA airport and then catch the airport flyer bus to South Beach for only $2.35 each!

I stayed there pre cruise on the first of Feb. I picked this hotel because of reviews I had read. I must say it was just ok for me for a one night stay. I did not like the area where the hotel is located but yes there is shopping close by for last minute pick ups. The next time I stay in Miami I think I will be looking for a different hotel though.
