relic937 Posted February 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2013 Does carnival weigh your luggage. It says 50 lbs. What if its over 50 lbs They do not weigh your luggage. Trust me I have given those poor porters luggage that I'm sure weighs much more than 50 lbs.....:o
Mummble Posted February 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2013 I, too, have handed the porters luggage that ways much more than 50lbs - it has never been an issue for me. The airlines charged me, but Carnival didn't!
waldocruiser1 Posted February 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2013 No, they weigh the passengers. Everytime you get on and off the ship, that "ding" is not letting them know you are on or off, it is recording your weight. At the end of the week they charge you the Fuel surcharge if you gained too much.

Crusin Karen Posted February 24, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2013 You get on as a passanger, you leave as cargo... LMAO....it's the dang chocolate melting cake...does it all the time. You just CANNOT get it off your hips once it passes your lips. I have given a few porters at least a back ache if not a hernia from our suitcases. :(We don't fly, so I can pack the kitchen sink (NOT that I'm going to wash dishes!) It's the height and width so it can fit thru the scanners. Length doesn't matter. Not sure of exact dimensions, but it will show you on the website. I have HUGE suitcases and they are all "under the radar" so I'm sure you will be okay. ;)
