PilotWife48 Posted February 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2013 We're sailing on the Triumph's 27 April departure (fingers crossed!). Where can I find out which night(s) are formal night? Also, any private dining areas on the Triumph where you need to make reservations? I checked the Carnival website and Forums until my eyes crossed and couldn't find definitive info. Thank you!
mollynmax Posted February 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2013 Not sure about the 4 day cruises, but on the 5 day trips, formal night will be on the evening of the first full day at sea.
mollynmax Posted February 27, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2013 Sorry - there are no private dining venues on Triumph (yet - not sure if they plan to add one on the upgrade, or even if we get the upgrade this year - sure hope we do - I sail on 12-2! Good luck, it will be a GREAT cruise no matter what. This is one of my favorite cruises - 7 days is just too long for me, 4 days is too short, 5 days is PERFECT!!! :)
k2excursion Posted February 27, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2013 I concur. The elegant night will the Night 2 of the cruise. It's been that way on my 4-day, 5-day, 7-day, & 8-day cruises. There is no steakhouse on the Triumph yet. But there is the Chefs Table. I don't know where they do that, what it consists of, or how much of your life savings it costs, but they do have that. I just looked it up. Chefs Table is limited to 12 people in total, $75pp, and takes place in a nontraditional venue such as the galley or library. It says that it includes a private cocktail reception & tour of the galley. I'm not sure if what I'm reading is outdated though. But if you're interested, you should definitely reserve your spot, since it is very limited.

Triumph's Chef's Table is in the library, after a galley tour. It was a beautiful evening- an absolute highlight of the cruise. The only problem with the location is that there is no restroom nearby. At least not one I could think of (and I quickly went down a deck to one I knew of). There was enough demand on our cruise that they held it two nights.
