Booking with ES vs. Past Guest Save Big

I'm not sure if this has been covered but I am looking into booking a cruise in September. The Past Guest Save Big rate is cheaper than ES but wouldn't I be able to book ES and then submit a price protection form for the lower rate?

for other rates besides ES, you can submit a price protection until final payment. after final payment, you may not get the credit

Even if it's OBC it doesn't matter to me. I'm going to spend it on the ship anyway :)

This is exactly what you should do. Book Early Saver and then immediately submit a price protection form for the Past Guest Save Big Rate. This way you'll continue to get price protection after final payment. I booked my son's room on Saturday under ES then it dropped $110 the next day with the PG Save Big Rate so I filed the price protection form. I got the approval email this evening that the claim was approved.
