We were there last week and the fare to Royal Palms was $4pp each way. Once you get to Royal Palms, there will be a $2 charge to get into the resort and then you can rent chairs, $5, umbrellas, $10, floats, $10, jet skis, and cabanas. The $2 also allows use of the pool, restroom, restaurant, and showers.

It is a gorgeous place and if it gets crowded, you can walk down the beach a little ways and there may not be anyone around.

Just take a bus(van) #2 that goes all the way to Turtle farm and tell them to let you off at Royal Palms. Cost is $2.5 US

As other people have said, it was $4 to Royal Palms, $5 to the public beach (but the public beach is free, so you come out ahead). Royal Palm was a very crowded narrow beach, so I wouldn't recommend it very highly.
