The company says the Carnival Dream will operate eight-night Southern Caribbean sailings out of the port that include stops at the islands of Aruba, Curacao and Grand Turk.

The 3,646-passenger ship also will sail eight-night Eastern Caribbean trips out of the port featuring visits to St. Maarten, Tortola, St. Thomas and Grand Turk.

Both of the new itineraries will begin on Fridays and end on Saturdays, with the first departures in May

Carnival today also announced plans for two new five-night itineraries out of Port Canaveral on the Carnival Dream as well as a one-of-a-kind four-port, seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary.

The five new routes are in addition to the seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary Carnival already offers out of Port Canaveral on the Carnival Dream.

The ship has been based year-round in Port Canaveral since 2009.

The two new five-night departures mark the first time that Carnival has offered short cruise itineraries on a Dream class ship.

One of the five-night itineraries includes stops in Key West, Fla.; and Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas.

The other five-night itinerary includes stops in Nassau and Grand Turk.

The new four-port, seven-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary includes stops at Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Thomas and Nassau.

Like they are continuing the recently added San Juan, Grand Turk itinerary.

If those itineraries are true for the Dream, I am bored!

I want to see something NEW, That similar itinerary is already beign done by Freedom and Breeze. I would really like to see new ports added.

For those of us who do NOT want to drive to Miami or Fort Lauderdale, the southern caribbean from Port Canaveral is a great thing.

Agree. I want new places. Tired of Nassau.

Aruba, Curacao and Grand Turk.

The newest itinerary does not include Nassau, which is part of the excitement.

The day you would have spent in Nassau, is spent at sea getting southern.

bguppies, thanks for starting this thread since I missed the first one.

Does anybody know when they are going to make this available for booking? I have been looking at this itinerary out of Miami and waiting for the May 2014 schedule to come out. It will be much easier for me to leave out of Port Canaveral.

Thanks

They must have pulled the first thread. I wish I could find the port times somewhere - am hoping that the Tortola stop will be longer than the Freedom offered (had to be back on board by 1:30 or 2:30. Fingers crossed that it will be there until 5 so we can go over to Jost Van Dyke!!

I think December was just a random choice of sailing of that itinerary.

My PVP just sent a screen capture of that sailing's info...

What's up with Carnival's love affair with Nassau????

Any short cruise from the east coast of Florida pretty much has to have Nassau.

I'm just overjoyed both 8 day itineraries have Grand Turk, instead of Nassau.

So apparently Carnival is trying to get longer cruises away from Nassau.
