surf board rentals

Hi. I was wondering if, on any of the beaches in St. Martin or St. Thomas that are within a cab ride of the port, surf boards, stand-up paddle boards, or boogie boards are available for rental. Also, is there decent surfing on either island? We are beginner-level surfers.
