cruzeiro do sul Posted March 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2013 My wife and I are planning a one week Maine Coast and Harbour cruise on the Independence with American Cruise Lines this coming June. My wife is very sensitive to motion sickness and we are concerned about doing this itinerary because of the small size of the ship. Could anyone comment on the stability of the Independence in this itinerary? Thanks in advance.
caribsun Posted March 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2013 I have not sailed on this ship but I have seen it while kayaking on the Hudson River in upstate New York. It is a small touring boat and I would think that there would be considerable movement along the Maine coast. I suggest that you look into some of the large ocean going ships that sail the Maine and Canadian coast like Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Holland America.
