Leesie6351 Posted March 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2013 has anyone requested large print menus? if so, are they brought to stateroom or supplied at dining table? thanks I have been on 6 X cruises and was never told they have large print menus??? The servers and maitre d's always saw me clutching my readers and asking DH to read an item to me and not one word was ever said about large print menus being available. Are you just asking if they are available or do you know for a fact they are and if so, how do you know??? I'm hoping you're right!!!

north49th Posted March 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2013 I'm surprised Celebrity doesn't offer larger print / high contrast menus. I suggest contacting the Special Needs Department at 1-866-592-7225 and request that they have large print menus available on your cruise. At the very least they should be able to provide enlarged photocopies. Just a suggestion.

Gig103 Posted March 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Before boarding I had told =X= that my father-in-law was low vision and they said there would be large print Dailies and Menus. There were not, but since he could read the ones he had I didn't go to the GS desk about it.
ClairetoCruise Posted March 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2013 has anyone requested large print menus? if so, are they brought to stateroom or supplied at dining table? thanks You might want a magnifier for the menus, bar menus, shore excursion descriptions, and dailies. Barnes and Noble sells flat page-size magnifiers. My husband prefers the round hand held magnifier. Claire
Christine Frances Posted March 5, 2013 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2013 Just contact Special Needs. I have low vision and on our 29 day SA cruise on Infinity they provided large print menus and also large print Celebrity today. Special needs were were extremely helpful and offered different options As much as I appreciated the effort I did better with my pocket magnifier with a built in LED light for the MDR as I still needed the extra light. I always have 2-3 of these - love them http://www.lightwedge.com/Shop/On-The-Go/Advanced-Pocket-Magnifier-with-LED-Light When the magnifier is extended the light is turned on - otherwise it is very compact. They are 3X magnification which is better than other magnifiers that I have bought. They fit well into a bag/purse and even people without vision problems loved them.
