Docking in Chania Crete

No it is at Souda port. It should even be listed on your itinerary that way.

 

It is not walking distance to the old port area !

 

If you click on this link ..... you will see Souda port and Chania in relation to each other. It is not far by car but not walkable. The old port area is quite small and no where near deep enough.

In my experience, the ships usually run shuttles (either free or at a slight charge, depending on the line) to Chania itself with a drop off point a few blocks from the harbor area.

 

I believe there is also either a local bus or shuttle that is available very near the Souda port as well (very inexpensive). Do a search on Chania on this board and you should be able to locate some posts discussing this.
