pre/post land tour of Rome, Florence and Venice

Has anyone done the pre or post land tour of Rome, Florence and Venice? I am considering this before a Mediterranean cruise with Celebrity Reflection in May2014. I am wondering how many people are on the tour and what the hotels are like as well as if the tour guides are good. Any other info would be appreciated.

Hi there- we will be doing this same land tour in Aug/Sept this year, before departing Rome on Sept 3. Celebrity appears to be slow in getting the accomodation information out :confused: I have tried to get responses as well, with not much luck. I did get feedback from people who had done the Alaska pre cruise land tours- all were impressed.... so will let you know:rolleyes:

If this is your first visit to Italy, I think it is worth your time and money to spend a few extra days in either or both Rome and Venice. Visited Venice and Rome in 2011 and we are returning to Italy for a two week land cruise this August (Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi and Rome) . No experience with Celebrity's land tours but if that doesn't work do it yourself. You'll be glad you did.

Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you after your tour in September Canagal. We are planning on booking the Celebrity Reflection Eastern Meditteranean cruise. We have never cruised before either so will be researching more on that as well. My father and stepmother who have cruised with Celebrity before are coming with myself, husband and two teenage kids on the cruise and land tour.
