Kathykins56 Posted March 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2013 I am a novice cruiser (only been on 2 and never CCL) and looking into booking my third. I have been monitoring a couple a carnival cruises for the past month or so. Each week I keep seeing new "sales" but they don't really look that great. One of the cruises I have looked at requires final payment March 20th. Do you think it's worth to continue to wait it out and see if the price drops? I am beyond flexible with travel dates. Just wondering if I should jump on the current "Sale" Carnival is offering or if I am better off waiting.
caribsun Posted March 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2013 The problems with booking near sail date is the lack of good cabins and you may only have the late dinner seating. I would book now.
pbsteve Posted March 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2013 agreed, if you book Early Saver, you can immediately put in a price adjustment form for the price difference, and if it goes further on sale, you will get the adjustment as On Board Credit applied to your account, even after your final payment date. Kathykins56 Posted March 6, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted March 6, 2013 That's the thing, I'm not picky at all about what cabin I have (normally I go with interior rooms anyways) nor could care less about when I eat dinner.
Kathykins56 Posted March 6, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted March 6, 2013 Early saver is not available because the cruises I am looking at are May 2013. My only options are super saver or easy saver.
emelvee Posted March 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 6, 2013 agreed, if you book Early Saver, you can immediately put in a price adjustment form for the price difference, and if it goes further on sale, you will get the adjustment as On Board Credit applied to your account, even after your final payment date. That's how I booked our upcoming cruise. But if OP is looking to cruise within the next few months, Early Saver won't be available.
