Any must buys?

Many people like the wood carvings here. there are shops in the Tourist Village that sell them, but you can find similar (and more bargains on other items) by walking across the street to the flea market. Despite the hypola, there aren't a bunch of muggers waiting outside to waylaid you. Just some tour hawkers trying to make a living. A polite thank you and continued walking they leave you alone. Once you're in the stall of the flea market, people are very friendly and helpful.

 

For liquor, look for the One Barrel Rum made in Belize. It is for sale in a couple of shops at the TV. Also Marie Sharp's Hot Sauce.
