happyscmom Posted March 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2013 My family will be cruising out of Charleston, SC in about 3 weeks. My husband and I did this exact cruise last year and had fun, and we decided to do it again with our kids. We have four kids ages 3 (just turned), 7, 9, and 16. We are looking for something to do in Nassau that will be fun for all. Last year my husband and I did a "Blue Lagoon" excursion through Carnival, and it was a major rip off. The island was super expensive and nothing was included, and our "dolphin encounter" was a joke. We do not want to go back there, but would like some "fun in the sun" that all kids can enjoy. The other part is that we don't want to break the bank. An excursion for six people is PRICEY through Carnival. So, what can we do that is fairly cheap and will entertain a wide variety of ages? Cruise Envy Posted March 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2013 There is quite a bit of information on the Ports of Call board about Nassau. Have you thought about getting a day pass to the Sheraton @ Cable Beach? $25 pp and the jitney (bus) each way is $1.25 pp.
kac13090 Posted March 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2013 I booked the British Colonial Hilton for me and my kids. You can walk their from the boat, can still see some if the sites, and a food/drink voucher is included in the price.
SteelerCruiser Posted March 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2013 head over to Junkanoo Beach which is a 10-15 minute walk just past the Hilton if you are looking for a budget friendly option. If you want to spend a few bucks then do a day pass for Atlantis.
