edgee Posted March 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2013 Assuming "usual" 7 a.m. ship arrival at Port of Miami, what is the earliest time that Oceania cruise air department will book departures from Miami? We had heard that it is noon, but, if so, wondered if they are flexible. We are looking at deviation request for an 11:40 a.m. nonstop flight home. Otherwise we must connect or travel after 3:00 p.m. We just came off of the Riviera and made a (self booked) 11:55 a.m. flight with a couple of hours to spare. Thanks for any advice on this. aliceind Posted March 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2013 We were scheduled for a "late" flight out of Miami and were told that any earlier flight would not be available. We knew there was an earlier flight out and when I contacted the Air Dept. and told them I would be responsible if we missed the earlier flight, they agreed to give us the requested earlier flight, which we were able to make with ease. Jancruz Posted March 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2013 Miami is a tough port to tell..sometimes customs holds up the ship and you dont get off until 9:30 or even a little later but even with that said you should make an 11:40am flight if you are will to chance it, be insistant.. The wait for a taxi can be hours.

With what the Government is saying about what the Sequestration is going to do to Security and Customs staffing, I'm less likely to push the issue with catching an earlier flight now than ever before. You know what Government Inspectors are. :p
