Basic Question about VIFP

Hi everyone experienced in all things Carnival.

 

I have a very basic question - I understand status depends on days cruised,

can someone clarify how this is calculated - Does the DAY of debarkation count, so is a 7 night cruise actually 8 day and credited as such ? :confused:

I have been on 3 cruises and only have 21 pts. So it is how many nights you stay. So if we embark on Sat and debark the following Sat I only get 7 pts.

I believe this is correct but not for sure.

It is by nights on the ship so a 7 day cruise equals 7 points. It counts embarkation day but not debarkation day.
