Oriana1 Posted March 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Does anyone know the cost of the Apple classes on the Solstice (or any other Celebrity ship) and what the class covers? Kim
Oville Posted March 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2013 I don't know if you own an Apple product but if you do and live close to an Apple Store, they give free classes.

I do own an Apple Mac and are considering buying an Ipad. I was thinking of doing the classes on the ship for something to do if there is not much to chose from during the day. Unfortunately the Apple store near me hardly has classes on. Kim
Christine Frances Posted March 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2013 I saw some classes that were $20 (I think) but if you are interested I would head to the iLounge as soon as possible because the classes were always very well attended on our cruise. smtcan Posted March 10, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Classes were $20 each, but there was a package rate for unlimited classes. DH wanted to sign up for the package on our spring cruise last year, but by the time he got there on day 2 most of the classes were full. On our next cruise he went on the first day and booked the package and was very pleased with it. I am a long time Apple user, but he did bring back a few new hints and ideas that I found useful. I can't remember how much the package cost, but $100 might be in the ball park. Most of the classes were on the iPad, including useful Aps, but there were a couple on iPhoto. katgio50 Posted March 10, 2013 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2013 The quality of the classes depends upon the instructor, but I think for a novice with Apple products, they are worthwhile. I attended the "free" class on a Solstice cruise and the instructor was outstanding. I then attended several classes on the Reflection after purchasing my i-pad and found them pretty good. That instructor did not seem to keep things moving as well and got distracted and off-topic. I still found them very worthwhile as I was a newbie. flifish64 Posted March 10, 2013 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2013 If you sign up for the classes do you receive any wifi minutes to use while you are in the class or do you need to buy those and pay for the class? Thanks, Carol
