Taking food off of the ship...The Pride

Been on the Pride, but not the Mexican Riviera. Are they strict about taking food off of the ship? Was thinking about taking some deli sandwiches and snacks for us at port.

Little nervous about eating there.....

 

Leaving tomorrow and wanted to get your advice..
