Best place to eat at Port?

IMO, the Wet Lizard. There are a couple of other small places though. Depends on what you're looking for. WL has great conch fritters and decent meat pies. Othe rseafood available too. Plus ice cold Belikins.

If, and only if, you decide to overcome the "fear of the port" that gets espoused by many posters here, and by cruiselines wanting you to only book ship excursions, there is a great Belizean restaurant just a few blocks up from the Tourist Village (Nerries on Queen Street and Daly;turn left out of the TV) and a nice hotel restaurant (Tinto's in the Great House) just before you get to the lighthouse (turn right out of the TV). if you catch a taxi and go over the swing bridge, head to Bird's Isle on Albert Street, nearer the southern end of Belize City's business district. Open air dining under a palapa roof, small, not on many tourists route but really good food and grat view.

Hi! New cruiser here. I am not afraid to leave the TV. Looking for good authentic and cheap (er) food for lunch when we are there. Is Nerries a good place? Also looking for pharmacy when we get there. Are all the prices the same or should we go to the one at the pier?

TIA

I was last in Belize on the Spirit a couple of years ago. My DW, son and daughter-in-law exited the gates, turned left and walked a block or so to the first food cart on the right. It was packed with locals. We had one of the best meals of the trip from that cart. We shared chicken and goat curries with rice, beans, plantains and the like.
