MRSBITS Posted March 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2013 We are flying from Kingscote to Adelaide with an arrival of 11:05 am. Will we have enough leeway to book a Qantas flight departing Adelaide to Sydney at 12:15 pm; or should we plan on the Jetstar flight which leaves at 13:10pm? Very Frequent Flyer Posted March 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2013 Depends on whether you have anything planned in Sydney in the afternoon. If you're not in a rush, I would pick the later flight.

Carolyn Yes 1 hour is normally sufficient to change planes in domestic airports in Australia. Should your flight from Kinsgcote be late, Qantas are usually pretty good about getting you on to a later flight, particularly if you have any elite One World Status. You'll also be more comfortable on Qantas than Jetstar. Beware luggage limits on REX from Kingscote to Adelaide. I think they are only 15 kgs. kuldalai Posted March 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2013 Adelaide is a smaller Airport and 1 hour between your flights should be fine. Book your luggage through from Kingscote to Sydney if you can and that makes the transfer rather seamless. If your connection is missed for un-forseen delay then Qantas (QF) will re-book you on the next available flight to Sydney on either Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ). Qantas and Jetstar are in the same Company Group .
