Embarcation vs sail time question

I will be on a cruise from Stockholm in June. We are due to embark on the 22nd but sail at 2pm on the 23rd. Does this mean we can embark anytime on the 22 after the embarcation time? I would like to tour during the day and embark at about 5pm.....will that work out?
