Azure Bar on the Glory

Recommended Posts

Would like to know if the Azure Bar is located outside. Am trying to arrange for a meet and greet after the Muster Drill. Would like for it to be outside so we can watch as we sail away. The Orpheus Bar on the Miracle was a great place for our meet and greet and would like to find something comparable on the Glory.

Azure bar is located on the outside perimiter of the Azure pool area. If it rained, I'm sure you'd get spritzed on. However, it's located under cover. if it rains, they can put out the roof. It was actually closed most of our cruise.

We had our group meet on Deck 10, right under the front turn of the running track on the starboard side of the ship. Great unobstructed view of the sailaway, close to the main bar, and you could walk back and forth to either side very easily from there.

The entire pool area at the Azure Bar is enclosed by walls, just the roof is open. That's where the "Sky Dome" is located. Check this 360 degree view link below. Note the slanted windows all the way around. The Azure Bar is where the stools are. The Piazzera and Grill are to the left and right of the area in the shade. Note too the Disney ship docked just outside the side windows past the bar. Use the second link for other ships and more Glory pic's too. Enjoy.

Thanks for all your help.

The 360 was great....really showed me what I wanted to see.

Deck 10 might be a better place, being that it is out in the open. We aren't necessarily looking for a bar to have the meet and greet, but having beverages close by would be nice for those wanting a sail away drink. I will look into the Deck 10 area more.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again :)

Yeah, Deck 10 is great in that you don't have to look through windows, and everyone can find the spot. Go to Lido deck, go to the main pool in the center of the ship, take the stairs on the starboard side up one level, and you're right there.

The link below is shot from Deck 10. The track is at the back.

As you're sailing out of Port Canaveral there are things you'll probably want to see on both sides of the ship as well, and you can easily move back and forth from there right under the front turn of the track. For example the entire Cape Kennedy Launch complex is right there on the left side, you can see the Vehicle Assembly Building, and Discovery is due to go back to the launch pad this week so it should be there. On the right side you'll pass Grills Restaurant, and everyone there will be waving to you.

Have a great cruise, wish we were going again.
