Room to store 3 large suitcases in Jr Suite

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We are sailing Monday on the Jewel. I haven't even begun to think about packing. We've had a heck of a month and the weekend is packed with commitments as well. Luckily, we are not flying to the port. It is only 30 minutes from our house. Therefore, I was thinking if I don't have to save suitcase space and plan for every item, I want to take 3 large (not carry on) suitcases so I can just pack things I may or may not need and hope for the best. I just don't want them to be in our way in the cabin. There are 3 of us. We are in a Jr Suite. Is there room to put away that many? I know there is a walk in closet, but I don't want to be tripping on them in there. Will a couple of them still fit under the beds?

Thanks!

If you have trouble getting the suitcases under the bed. Do 2 things. 1st check to see if the steward has stored things underneath the bed. If so, just move them around to get your suitcases under also. 2nd, lift the bed up just a tad and you can slide the luggage under the bed.

Good luck and have a great cruise. Jewel is a wonderful ship.

I keep hearing about this GIGANTIC walk in closet and can't help thinking if it would have been better served as a smaller closet with more cabin space. I can't wait to see this mysterious closet!

Yup, plenty of space for luggage, excess clothes (although they still skimp on hangers) and you can even dosy doe in there. GIGANTIC....(for a cruise cabin:D

You will have plenty of room under the bed and closet

The JS is my favorite size cabin

The walkin closet means I actually have room for my clothes:rolleyes:

Thanks, everyone. I'm traveling with my husband and son. I think I'll just move into the closet! Ha! I have those "huggable hangers" and usually just pack my clothes on the hangers. It is super simple to unpack, just grab and hang. I never have to wonder how many hangers will be provided.

Never had a problem with hangers, one word to our stateroom attendant and low and behold extra hangers.

True, but then I'd have to hang them up again. I love the grab and hang method of packing. It's very fast (and no waiting for the extra hangers). :D
