lowes girl Posted March 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Hello We are booked on the Nightwind day sail on April 8 it leaves from the Sapphire beach marina at 9 am. We are arriving on the carnival valor. Does any one know how long it will take by taxi to get to Sapphire marina from the port? Any feedback would be great since this is our 1st time in St Thomas. Anyone else doing this excursion?

Anyone else doing this excursion? We were on Nightwind Daysail last month. It took 25 min from port, that was after one stop @ Red Hook to let another couple off! Ask for Trini@ cab post,he came back to pick us up after our Nightwind excursion& drove us up to security desk to board ship!:)

One other question, what time did you get back to the slip? My husband is worried we will miss the ship. We have to be back on board the ship by 4:30.This is the 1st time we are not doing an excursion from carnival. Thanks

Rare mizLORInj Posted March 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2013 The Nightwind crew will make sure you're back so you don't miss the ship. We were in STT last Monday on a different sailboat and Nightwind (with whom we salied last time due to our group being larger than six) was right near us most of the day. I don't hesitate to book a daysail in St. Thomas.

Vol fan Posted April 2, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2013 Thanks for the info. We are all booked and counting down the days We did this sail in February and had a wonderful day. We prearranged for Alvin at Islander Taxi Service to be at the dock to pick us up when our ship arrived in port to take us to the Sapphire Beach Marina where the Nightwind is docked. It is about a 25 minute ride from the dock. He was waiting for us when we arrived back at the marina to take us back to the ship. We arrived with about 45 minutes to spare. Here is the e-mail address if you want to arrange transportation. There were four of us and the fare was $20 per person round trip. Islandertaxiservices@yahoo.com We were on the Celebrity Equinox and were docked at Havensight. Have a great day!
