Ireland

My cruise itinerary on the Eurodam in July says we dock at Dunmore East (Waterford) but a cruise travel website says it docks at Cobh. Are these locations close enough that we could dock at Dunmore and take an excursion to Cobh? I've been reading about Cobh and that would be my preferred port.

Hi,

You would probably receive more assistance on the British Isles/Western Europe forum.

The Automobile Association (AA) route planner gives the distance between Dunmore East and Cobh as 84 miles, with a journey time of 2 hours 11 minutes.

The only practicable way to get to, and back from, Cobh in one day is by car. Whether this is feasible in your case depends on how long the Eurodam is in port.

You gave me the information that I needed. I didn't realize when I posted that there was another posting for Ireland. Our cruise takes us to lots of places and I had only been looking at Northern Europe. Thanks for your help.
