St. Thomas to Jost van Dyke, BVI

Anyone done this excursion on their own? We have approximately 12 hours in St. Thomas. Think we'll have time to do Jost van Dyke and still have a few hours in St. Thomas for shopping?

The St. Thomas - Jost ferry only runs on Friday, Saturday and Sundays and leaves STT at 8am returning at 3pm from Jost. Not sure you will make it from the Cruise ship pier to Red Hook for 8am - depends on when you get in and how soon you are able to get off and in a taxi.
