Cirquie Dreams & Dinner on Epic -Is it worth it to pay more for premium seat?

We got in line around 45 minutes before the show, the doors opened at 30 minutes. We sat upstairs port side. It was a great location because the swinging performers were looking straight at us and we didn't have to turn to see. The food was cold and TV microwave quality IMO. It was also very dark and hard to see what you were eating. But we were really there for the show. The two muscle men stumbled and fell during their performance but we couldn't tell if that was planned or not. Made the audience gasp.

Our party of 6 decided to go with reg seating, upstairs. We all agreed there wasn't a better seat in the house! The dinner and show was fabulous!

 

Not sure when you went, but last year on the Epic, all upstairs balcony seating was upgraded to Premium seating. Standard was made in the booths in the back on the lower floor. Perhaps they have changed it back since. I required balcony seating as I have a neck injury and cannot look up for any long periods of time, and the concierge had a difficult time changing our reservations when we spoke to her upon boarding, but she pulled it off!

I have neck problems so we booked premium seating. I didn't know until just now that some of the premium seating is on the lower level. Anyway, we were upstairs and it was wonderful. The only draw back I can think of is, you won't be pulled into the act if you are upstairs... Not a problem for us. We personally felt the show was worth the price even if there where no dinner served, and we have never paid for specialty dining before. I was on the end of a section and even pinched a performers butt..... much to my husbands chagrin. I say I just gave the guy a great story!

Good to know there is no photography. Is it "open seating" within your category-first come first served? Or do you select your table when booking?

You will select regular or premium seating at time of booking. It is up to those seating you as to where you will be placed. That's why people get in line early.

When we were on the Epic, IMO... it seemed that every seat was a good seat.;)

We did "Premium" and it was worth it. The "regular" seating seemed that it was the booths along the back wall. Might be some difficultly seeing the high part of the act.

Getting "Premium" didn't seem to guarantee great seats. We did the Wednesday night show. So for a couple days, we noticed how early people were lining up (even though they had premium reservations) before the doors opened.

 

When it was our night, we were the second group in line...roughly 45-50 minutes before advertised show time. They opened the doors, and when we walked in, already 5 tables in the front were taken. Don't know who they were or how they got in (Suite guests?). So anyway, even though we were second in line, we still only managed to get the last table along the front on the floor.

Suite guests are escorted in through a back door before the main doors open for regular guests, so most likely they were suite guests.

I had no interest in these shows when I would travel to Las Vegas, but thought we would give it a try on the ship. I loved it. I especially loved having the premium seating and being in the middle of the action. I also thought the staff did a great job of working around the performers.

 

One piece that is not often mentioned, is that it was also great to sit at a table with other guests. We had a nice time making new friends.
