Hilton Riverside Parking/cruise

WE are staying at the Hilton Riverside pre-cruise for a Carnival cruise. Looks like the hotel charges like $35 a night for parking, but there is a garage next door???? Is that the Fulton garage? Do I need a reservation to park there? I was planning on parking at the cruise terminal for the cruise. Do we pull-up in the front of the terminal to drop our bags or go straight in and park? Will someone be in the garage for the bags? This is our first time driving to a cruise and I am not sure what to expect. Thanks!
