Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2013 We are having our breakfast in the MDR of the Legend of the Seas, waiting our turn to disembark in Singapore. Stay tuned to this thread for my picture review.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Here we go. These were taken this morning (23 March 2013), at disembarkation, from the cruise terminal. See the balconies just above the orange life-boats. I believe those were added during the 1 month dry-dock in Singapore. Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) Now, to Day 1 of the cruise. Saturday, 16 March 2013. Picture of the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal from the taxi, as we were approaching. Two ships in port, Legend of the Seas as well as another unidentified ship from this point. Take a guess. (Shouldn't be too difficult to guess which cruise line) Edited March 23, 2013 by Iluvcruising2

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Unfortunately, there were long lines at check-in. The lines moved slowly even though so many counters were opened. It turned out that each check-in took a long time because we had to complete many immigration forms for the various ports of call. Fortunately we were in the C&A priority queue and that moved much more quickly.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted March 23, 2013 After checking in and getting our sea pass cards (remember to ask for your C&A WOW cards, they forgot to give to my parents), immigration was very smooth and we got onboard the ship at 1145hrs. Centrum This décor looks new.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted March 23, 2013 After boarding, we walked through the Centrum and through the Schooner Bar before coming to an area where they collected our passports. This was the Schooner Bar – Progressive Trivia was held here.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted March 23, 2013 I found these touchscreen boards to be most useful to check out the Cruise Compass. However, many people touch them. They could potentially be a source of infection. So, please be ultra vigilant with hand-washing.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #12 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Although this was a school holiday week in Singapore, there were relatively few children, less than 100 under the ages of 18 apparently. Still, Adventure Ocean was fairly busy.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #15 Share Posted March 23, 2013 View of the Centrum from Deck 5. Bear in mind that the Legend of the Seas is currently the smallest ship in the RCI fleet.

Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #17 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Guest Relations at Deck 5. Long queues were rather common here. Try to avoid peak hours.

peteukmcr Posted March 23, 2013 #20 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Thanks for posting your great photos. We're sailing on Splendour later this year which I believe is a sister ship of Legend and has received similar revitalization.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #21 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Lunch in the MDR was very popular. There were no seats available and we were advised to go to the Windjammer. This was noon.
Iluvcruising2 Posted March 23, 2013 Author #22 Share Posted March 23, 2013 They set up a small table outside the MDR, selling the Chef’s Dining Package. It was USD 115 for Chef’s Table, Chops Grille and Izumi ($20 USD credit). This was one of the highlights of our cruise. We had booked and paid for the package online, even before embarkation.
