Oasis 3/16 - 3/23 short review

We booked this cruise partly to go with our neighbors and partly to go back on Oasis. We booked in early February so trying to get a hotel room in Ft Lauderdale for the night before was nigh impossible unless we were willing to pay $300 a night. We stayed in Port St Lucie for $129 and finished the drive off on Saturday morning. Helped to kill time until we could board. Boarding was a breeze even with a customs delay for the passengers getting off. Once on we had lunch at the Park Café then off to our cabins. We were in 14316 ocean view balcony which is port side towards the back of the boat.

I thought the food was very good. We ate in Chops with our neighbors one night. We have eaten there before they had not. We all thought the meal was outstanding and worth every penny. We only ate in the Windjammer twice all week which was fine with me.

The entertainment was really very good. Our headliner was the group Home Free. They sing a cappella so all the sounds you hear are coming from them. Not to be missed if you get the chance. The comics were also outstanding, very funny without getting raunchy.

This was the western version and we have been to all the ports more then once. The only thing of note we did in port was to swim with dolphins in Cozumel. Great fun! If there was any rain during the trip it was when my eyes were shut.

Apparently RCI listened to all us complain about the plugs being under the dressing table. They installed a multi plug adapter on top of the dressing table so you no longer have to bend down to put in a plug.
