firstalaskatrip Posted March 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2013 I'm wondering if anyone has gone snorkeling with "aquatic center of pier 66," the company that does snorkeling by hyatt pier 66 in fort lauderdale. Would you recommend them? If not, is there another company you would recommend in fort lauderdale? I'll be in Fort Lauderdale in May for a conference at the hyatt, and I was hoping to go snorkeling while there. Won't have a car, so the hotel would be easiest if decent, but I would consider cabbing or something elsewhere if there is a different company that is much better. Thanks! Middleager Posted March 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2013 We've gone to Miami and FLL a couple of times for cruise. Each time we drive to the Keys, to dive/snorkel there, before coming to get on ship. It's better and easier to arrange at the Keys. But if no transportation while at FLL, guess you have to go with what's available locally. Probably need to take a boat out, and the waves can be bigger there. neptuno Posted April 7, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2013 Shorediving.com has an interesting post re: Lauderdale by the Sea, haven't tried it yet, weather depending, it might be OK. But east coast has surf and only a rare calm day.
