7 Day NYC to Bermuda Route

I assume the ship leaves port heading north/east then dips down to bermuda, and takes the direct path back to port on the way home?

So if this is the case you'd want port side to see NYC on way out?

Can anyone confirm? I assumed this since the 2 sea days are up front with one on way back.

Yes, port side is where you would see NYC however there was a much better view when they left from NYC instead of Bayonne. Celebrity used to do the cruise with one day down and one day back, guess they are doing this now to get more time for people to spend money in the bars, shops and casino. Having done this last year, I think they just slow down.

All the views are to port, although you're fairly far away, even during the sail out. Here are two pictures to show the view from port. The first is while we were still docked in Bayonne and the second is from the closest view to the Statue of Liberty. Most people are on the open decks for the sailaway since you also get a good view of the Verrazano bridge as you go under it (with seemingly only a few feet to spare)!

The bridge is the best view as you go under it.
