EGG Posted March 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2013 We are disembarking the Queen Elizabeth in Southampton and being picked up by a private car. Any suggestion on the best time to tell the driver. We can do self debarkation if there are no steps involved. We prefer to do unhurried self debarkation, meaning we don't have to be the very first off the ship. Otherwise we are on deck 4.

That should dictate what time you give. We also have a private car pick us up and we're going to St Pancras. We're not in a particular hurry so we told the driver 10AM. If our deck is called before then, we'll just hang back until we're ready to go. If you have the opposite issue...you have to get off an earlier time then when deck 4 gets released (deck 4 is among the last to go) then just go to the tour desk and tell them you have to get off earlier and they'll help you out by giving you different luggage tags. We did that one year when we had to be off the boat earlier then our deck...but didn't want to self-disembark. The daily programme will list the approximate times by deck a day or two before you get there.
