needabreakcanada Posted April 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2013 I was wondering if there was a way to buy alcohol bottles ahead of time with Royal (we will be on Adventure of Sea) prior to cruising so that it is in your room when you arrive? Any links would be appreciated! Thanks
akcruz Posted April 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2013 The only alcohol you can purchase either ahead of time or onboard is wine/champagne. If you pre-order you can state when you want to have it delivered.
Trail46 Posted April 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2013 You cannot buy bottles of alcohol for your room period - including the royal suite. The best you can do is order a cocktail to be delivered, or buy one at a bar and bring it back to the cabin.
needabreakcanada Posted April 5, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted April 5, 2013 On our cruise on Carnival we were able to buy a bottle for the room :( Reason I was asking is our Royal Cruise is port intensive so not worth buying the alcohol package - just wanted a little something in the room and we are not wine drinkers. Thanks for the info.
jamesr3939 Posted April 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2013 Nope only wine and champagne. I order with "gifts & gear" and have it delievered over the course of the trip a few bottles at a time.

Clarea Posted April 5, 2013 #9 Share Posted April 5, 2013 Thanks for the direction, figured it out. Insane pricing to say the least. Compared to your local liquor store, yes. Compared to a big city restaurant, not bad at all.
Eng23 Posted April 5, 2013 #10 Share Posted April 5, 2013 You cannot buy bottles of alcohol for your room period - including the royal suite. The best you can do is order a cocktail to be delivered, or buy one at a bar and bring it back to the cabin. You can purchase wine and champagne in advance for use in your room. You can also bring 2 bottles per cabin of either wine or champagne on board in your carry on luggage. This is a recently new policy for Royal Caribbean.
