cheap drinks

Do not remember any liquor stores at the port but Local Village Bar is very close and drinks are reasonable. If you go into the town drinks at the liquor store there are very reasonable, think we paid $2 for beer.

And Barbie's or the Poop Deck in town have cheaper drinks/beer as they cater to locals. But it's a taxi ride to and from (maybe $16 RT, could be less) so factor that in too. On the beach, Local Village has slightly lower prices than MV or Jacks Shack, but not by much, maybe $1. Both jacks and LV will give you a free shot of the local rum if you ask.

In Jan, we had our tour guide pick us up a 6 pack of been for our excursion. He was very apologetic that the beer cost $12 at the store. We told him that was fine, as it was much cheaper than we could get beer for on the ship.
