Slled21 Posted April 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2013 I was doing some research and found out that our ship will be the only ship in Cozumel on April 14th. I thought, this is great, then I thought about the fact that it will be a Sunday. Will we experience everything Cozumel has to offer on a Sunday? We are fast approaching our cruise date and we still haven't decided between Mr. Sanchos and Paradise Beach. Young kids with us, oldest being 11, thinking Paradise Beach should be our pick? Colorado Kat Posted April 8, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2013 In a touristy area, Sunday is pretty much like any other day. I like Paradise Beach. I think it's great for kids. But how old is the youngest child? You wouldn't want to have half the kids playing on the water toys, and half too small/young for them. I don't think there is an age limit, but you would need an adult with each small child, interacting closely. By the time the kids are 8, I think they would be fine, if they are good swimmers. Rare crewsweeper Posted April 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2013 It's the Disney Magic, so I assume its the Puerta Maya Pier?? Disney uses the Punta Langosta pier which is the one downtown. There may be some touristy shops open and certainly several beaches. Many downtown restaurants are closed Sundays or don't open until after 5PM. But you are the only ship in port that day so you might find things a bit quiet.
mrsfuzzmo Posted April 9, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2013 It's the Disney Magic, so I assume its the Puerta Maya Pier?? Generally Disney is at Punta Langosta which is right smack in the middle of town!!! Good for you!!! Sundays are also "Family" day in Mexico so you will see a lot of locals milling around, playing at the beach, etc. I love Sunday's in Mexico! It's generally very "locally" active and that makes it nice!!
