MSC Fantasia power loss last week

My family and I were on the Fantasia last week, and about 30 minutes after we left Bari, the ship totally lost power. The lights all went out, and the ship drifted to a stop. The lights came back on briefly, then it all went out again. The ship was totally without power for about 30-45 minutes. MSC never made an announcement about what went wrong. Is this common? I was hoping for more info--especially in light of the Carnival incidents in the last few months.

I've not heard anything about this, anywhere?
