I must be use to multi million dollar fines when companies screw up because the fine against Costa seems low to me.

seems low to me too...when the NCL Norway's boiler exploded in Miami, they were fined about the same and made to pay restitution to the injured crew.

that amount is very low. they shouldn't be able to buy their way out of criminal charges, anyway. :mad:

At least it's not one of these "no admission of wrongdoing" like many in the US used, so they could write it off as an ordinary business expense.
