norm2002 Posted June 18, 2005 #26 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Jane I think they switched it to FLL some time ago. And that's what's on the website and what I was told when I booked. Are you on it too? It will be nice to meet you. But if it was St Thomas when you booked, it's really bad if they haven't told you of the change. Regards Norm
Jane Pond Posted June 18, 2005 #27 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Well, I am starting out the week before, and yes, in the booklet I have, it says Charlotte Amalie and back and then to Lisbon. I added that week to halve the cost and to sail with the LaPalomas again. So, I am not getting off, no matter where it ends up!!!! I never bothered to look at the website, just told my agent to book it. It's really a different itinerary and with more sea days, which always appeal to me. I have still been to all the stops. Thanks for letting me know...and I am looking forward to meeting you as well! Just think of the surprise I would have had when my pre-cruise documents arrived! Jane edited for typos. norm2002 Posted June 18, 2005 #28 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Then I'm just sorry I spoiled the surprise! If we don't meet at the Sky Bar first, you can look down on me after the seven shorts and one long. I'll be the one with the camera. :)
Archipelago Posted June 18, 2005 #29 Share Posted June 18, 2005 When I booked the voyage it was round trip St. Thomas and then to Lisbon . They altered the itinerary and I was notified. I am still planning to go . I got my confirmed dividend miles itinerary last week and am staying at the Wyndham Sugar Bay 3 days before .I will leave Lisbon on the 6th . I am booked for '07 also and will stay in Portugal longer at that time !!! I hope to see all of you at the SkyBar after we board !!! Jane Pond Posted June 18, 2005 #30 Share Posted June 18, 2005 So, then, John, you and I can drink and wave at Norm as he dons his Mae West and snaps pictures of us. Jane (doing the E>W crossing in October as well, starting in Malaga. But now, given my history I had better check the website as well!)
GrannyLorr Posted June 19, 2005 #31 Share Posted June 19, 2005 norm......thanks for that computer info. My laptop doesnt have all that new fangled wireless stuff, but Im sure it could be arranged (its only about 12 months old) ...just have to get someone here with a ~lot~ more knowledge than me, to explain how it all works in kindergarten language! It would certainly make life easier if I could send all my emails from my own room. I will look into it.
GrannyLorr Posted June 19, 2005 #32 Share Posted June 19, 2005 cruiseguy........well thats at least 2 of us on the Spirit, (plus my hubby and your other half too?) I remember Denyse also saying she was thinking about doing part of the trip. I am surprised such a great itinerary isnt already booked out. My husband may not be taking part in any of the "formal" nights.......he went to collect his Tux today from having alterations done.......when he unpacked it....only the jacket was there! I wouldnt be at all surprised if the trousers had fallen off the hanger as he was walking to the car!! Some street person may be very nicely dressed tonight!

GrannyLorr Posted June 20, 2005 #34 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Looking forward to seeing you in the Sky Bar Julie. We are flying up to Cairns the day before and have already booked a "room with a view of the ocean" at the Sofitel Reef Casino (on advice from people in this Board). We hope to see the Spirit sail in and I will be ready with champagne and cameras! Lorraine

mcavanaugh Posted June 22, 2005 #38 Share Posted June 22, 2005 Hi Guys: We too will be joining the Spirit in Cairns. We are getting in 3 days early in order to go to Lizard Island. Lizard is a real "must" for any of you divers or snorkelers out there. Maxine
bldsld Posted June 22, 2005 #39 Share Posted June 22, 2005 We're holding a suite for the 29-day sailing Auckland-Singapore, commencing March 5th, although we may need to halve that due to time constraints. Denyse
